Several reports are available to help you file and remit your taxes or to provide to your tax accountant.

United States sales tax
The United States sales tax report provides a detailed summary of sales and tax information for orders in the United States. Tax reporting is provided at the state, county, and tax jurisdiction level. If you use Shopify Tax in the United States, then you can access the US sales tax report.

From this report, you can click any state to drill down to two deeper views:

Jurisdiction report
Detailed transactions report
The Jurisdiction report can be used when you prepare a sales tax return yourself. The report breaks out each tax jurisdiction and rate (for example, state, county, city, or special district) and aggregates the sales and tax collected for each jurisdiction–rate combination. This format matches with how most state returns expect you to report sales and tax by jurisdiction.

The Detailed transactions report can be used when you need line‑item detail for every tax line on every order. Export the report in order to import into other software, to recalculate taxes elsewhere, or to support an audit. The report shows the full set of data used to calculate and collect tax on each transaction.
